Heading into Spring!
So as I sit here and think about what I want to write, I am feeling the overwhelming sense to focus on International Women's Day March 8th. This day is significant for me personally in the sense of being reminded of how powerful I really am. Not powerful in an ego based perspective, but powerful in the sense that I have the ability to make or break what happens in my life. The ability to choose what paths I follow and this honestly is not the case for all women in this realm. This day also inspired me to run the Spirit Essence Online Retreat March 14-18th. Here, I hope to provide inspiration, community, laughter, hope, determination and a profound state of love of self and others by learning what Spiritual and Metaphysical work can do for you on your own journeys.
There is so much work to be done in regards to women being empowered and we must all start within our own sacred space. By looking deeply into what makes us who we are right now, in this moment and how our past plays into who we are. I know that I have an abundance of privilege and I work in it every day. Learning what that means and how to address that is part of the shadow work that I know I have to do and truthfully many of us still have to do.
But back to the "Day". Supporting others starts with supporting ourselves. Looking at how to feel that empowerment in all that we do. Embracing the flaws that are within us because we know that we are capable of transitioning those flaws and taking those lessons and teaching them to others that may benefit from our own personal growth.
Shadow work isn't always easy. If it were we would all have embraced it and be sitting in our bliss - knowing that we have already reached our higher power. Alas we are Spirits having this human experience and the lessons are many and they are deep and possibly carried from past lives and they must be learned so that we can raise our vibration for all that is. For the Collective Good of All.
Each of us as women (men need to do the shadow work as well - but it is International Women's Day this month lol) need to do better. Better for ourselves, better for those around us and better for those that will be coming in the future. We owe it to ourselves to live our best lives to the best of our abilities. To help other women less fortunate than us find the confidence and conviction to be more. To provide opportunities to teach that love and strength can and do go hand in hand! To know that we can overcome anything!
