When Something Ends (And You’re Not Mad About It)
Jan 22, 2026
February has this funny way of showing us the truth. And sometimes it hits hard but I'm feeling as we head into February that this time, at least for me personally, it's not coming in loud and dramatic (which is actually how I do everything lol) but more like a quiet realization that lands in your body before it lands in your head.
Something has run its course. Can I get an Amen lol.
And here’s the thing people don’t talk about enough:
Endings don’t always come with anger, betrayal, or heartbreak. I tend to look for who did what to me or what happened and who's involved. That's my toxic personality trait and I've always owned it.
But this time is different. I'm feeling endings are happening and I am feeling gratitude. Peace even. A soft but firm knowing that I'm ready for different pastures.
This is very Tarot energy lol.
Not the Tower crashing.
More like the World card gently closing one cycle so another can begin.
And I've been thinking about this. Just because something is coming to an end - doesn't mean I have to cut cords to move forward. I don’t have to make anyone wrong. I don’t have to rewrite history or justify my growth. Let's take it a step further - endings doesn't mean there won't be a new beginning there at some point. Remember a reason, a season or a lifetime. Lots of things that occur are lifetime occurrences with breaks in between! (Try that one on for size lmao).
You can simply acknowledge:
“This chapter has given me what it was meant to give.” Period. Hard Stop.
And that, Lovee, is maturity. That’s spiritual discernment.
So many people stay longer than their soul wants because nothing is “technically” wrong.
The friendships are fine.
The routines are familiar.
The environments feel safe enough.
But safe enough is not the same as alive.
Sometimes revitalizing yourself means letting yourself stretch beyond what’s familiar.
It means noticing where your energy has plateaued.
It means admitting that you’re craving inspiration, expansion, new conversations, new mirrors. Yes! Yes! Yes! All of this and then some!
Not because the old is bad.
But because you are no longer the same version of you who entered it.
This is where February shines.
It’s the in-between month.
Not the excitement of January.
Not the full bloom of spring.
It’s the pause where you check in and ask, “Does this still fit who I’m becoming?”
And if the answer is “not really,” that doesn’t make you ungrateful.
It makes you honest.
You might feel yourself wanting to reach out more.
To explore new communities.
To have different kinds of conversations.
To place yourself in rooms that feel a little unfamiliar but oddly energizing.
That’s not disloyalty.
That’s your wings remembering what they’re for.
And let me say this clearly, because Spirit is very firm about it:
You are allowed to evolve without explaining yourself.
You are allowed to expand without burning bridges.
You are allowed to hold love for the past and still walk toward something new.
Spirit teaches us that endings are rarely abrupt in real life.
They’re gradual.
They’re intuitive.
They’re felt long before they’re named.
If you’re feeling that gentle pull forward right now, trust it.
You don’t need a dramatic sign.
You don’t need permission.
You don’t need to wait until something falls apart to choose differently.
Sometimes the most powerful move is simply choosing nourishment over nostalgia.
February asks us to be brave in a quieter way.
To listen to where our energy wants to go next.
To let curiosity lead instead of obligation.
And if all you do this month is loosen your grip on what you’ve outgrown and open your heart to what’s calling you forward, that’s enough.
That’s movement.
That’s growth.
That’s you, spreading your wings just a little wider than before.
And Spirit says, very clearly, you’re doing just fine. I'm doing just fine. Everything is just fine!
