Your Intuition Is Not Random… It’s One of the Most Important Tools You Have
Jun 15, 2026There’s something I need people to stop doing immediately. Yes I said immediately loud and proud lol!
Stop treating your intuition like it’s some cute little side hobby.
Stop acting like your inner knowing only matters if you’re trying to become psychic, spiritual, metaphysical, or “woo.”
Because your intuition is not just a spiritual tool.
It’s a life tool.
It’s the thing that nudges you before the red flag appears.
It’s the feeling in your stomach before someone lies to you.
It’s the exhaustion you feel before burnout hits.
It’s the moment you know not to take a certain road, answer a certain message, trust a certain person, or ignore your own needs for the fiftieth time.
And yet people override themselves constantly.
Constantly!
We have become so conditioned to look outside of ourselves for validation that we’ve stopped listening to the one voice that has actually been trying to protect and guide us all along.
Our own. Heyyyy! Higher Self trying to connect here!
Now here’s the thing. Intuition does not always come in like a bull in China shop.
Sometimes intuition is subtle. We think we love that.
Sometimes it’s annoying. We don't love that.
Sometimes it feels inconvenient. Also....not loving so much....
Sometimes it makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever. Ugh!
Truthfully! That’s usually when people ignore it.
Because human beings love proof.
We love guarantees.
We love certainty.
But intuitive knowing doesn’t always arrive with a PowerPoint presentation and a detailed business proposal, boo.
Sometimes it’s just:
“Something feels off.”
“I shouldn’t do this.”
“I need to slow down.”
“I feel pulled toward this.”
“I don’t know why, but I need to pay attention.”
And yes. That matters.
And the more you ignore it, the quieter it becomes.
Not because your intuition disappears.
But because you stop trusting yourself enough to hear it clearly.
Intuition Is Not Reserved for Spiritual Practitioners
This is another thing people misunderstand.
You do not have to be a medium.
You do not have to read tarot.
You do not have to channel spirit.
You do not have to meditate on a mountain for six hours while eating kale and surviving on moon water. (BUT if anyone has moon water I'm game!)
Thank the Goddess, honestly, because half of us would fail immediately.
Intuition is natural.
Children use it before adults teach them not to.
Animals use it constantly.
Your body uses it.
Your nervous system uses it.
You already have it.
The question is not:
“Am I intuitive?”
The real question is:
“Have I learned to trust what I naturally know?”
Because there’s a difference.
Some people are deeply intuitive but completely disconnected from themselves.
Some people feel everything but second-guess all of it.
Some people receive intuitive information constantly and label it anxiety, overthinking, or imagination.
And yes, sometimes anxiety exists.
Sometimes trauma exists.
Sometimes fear exists.
But intuition has a different texture to it.
Fear is loud.
Intuition is steady.
Fear spirals.
Intuition nudges.
Fear panics.
Intuition observes.
And learning the difference between those voices can completely change your life.
Why Intuition Matters in Everyday Living
Let’s make this practical because people think spirituality has to float six feet above reality all the time.
Your intuition impacts:
- relationships
- business decisions
- parenting
- boundaries
- safety
- opportunities
- burnout
- emotional regulation
- friendships
- timing
- trust
- energy management
Everything.
Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt uncomfortable?
That’s intuitive awareness.
Have you ever known someone was struggling before they said anything?
That’s intuitive awareness.
Have you ever ignored a gut feeling and later thought,
“Damn it… I knew that”?
Yep.
That too.
Your intuitive self is constantly communicating with you through:
- your body
- emotions
- energetic responses
- inner knowing
- repeated nudges
- dreams
- awareness
- patterns
- synchronicities
But most people are too distracted to notice.
We scroll instead of sitting with ourselves.
We ask twenty-seven people for advice before listening inward.
We override exhaustion.
We dismiss discomfort.
We normalize disconnection.
And then we wonder why we feel spiritually disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or completely out of alignment.
Intuition and Metaphysical Development
Now for my metaphysical babies and practitioners…
If you are trying to develop spiritually without developing your relationship with your own intuitive knowing first, you are building your house on sand.
I said what I said.
Too many people rush toward mediumship, channeling, card reading, spirit communication, and external validation while completely bypassing their relationship with themselves.
And that creates problems.
Because if you don’t trust your own discernment:
- you question every message
- you depend on outside validation
- you fear being wrong constantly
- you compare yourself to everyone else
- you lose confidence in your natural abilities
- you become energetically overwhelmed easily
Your intuition is your foundation.
Not performance.
Not aesthetics.
Not how many decks you own.
Not how “gifted” someone says you are.
Your relationship with your intuitive self determines the strength of your spiritual work.
And the best practitioners I know are not the flashiest people online.
They are the people deeply connected to themselves.
Grounded.
Aware.
Observant.
Compassionate.
Disciplined in discernment.
They trust what they receive because they’ve spent time learning their own energetic language.
And YES! You guessed it. That matters.
Intuitive Development Is a Relationship
People want intuition to behave like a vending machine.
“I meditated once. Why am I not psychic yet?”
Baby…
that’s not how this works.
Your intuition strengthens through relationship.
Through noticing.
Through reflection.
Through practice.
Through trust.
Through honesty with yourself.
And sometimes through getting it wrong.
Because yes, occasionally we misinterpret things.
That’s human.
But the answer is not to shut your intuition down.
The answer is to become more aware of:
- how your intuition speaks
- how fear speaks
- how ego speaks
- how trauma reacts
- how your body responds
That awareness changes everything.
One of the Most Powerful Things You Can Do
One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself is pause long enough to ask:
“What do I actually know here?”
Not what everyone else thinks.
Not what social media says.
Not what fear says.
What do YOU know?
Your intuition may not always explain itself immediately.
But over time, when you build that relationship, you start realizing something incredible:
Your intuitive self has been trying to guide you toward alignment the entire time.
Not perfection.
Alignment.
And there is a huge difference.

- one exercise for those wanting to strengthen intuitive development and spiritual practice
- one exercise for those wanting to strengthen everyday intuitive living and decision-making
Because intuition is not about becoming someone else.
It’s about finally learning how to trust yourself.
